An elopement isn't just about escaping to a far away paradise, or running away to the registry office, it's about stripping back your wedding to just the most important things, the things that matter. The most important aspects of a wedding are the couple (you), the people (you love), the place (the adventure), the words (your celebrant) and the memories (your photos).
Big weddings can come with all sorts of distractions and stresses. When you elope, you choose to strip away all but the most important aspects of your wedding.
Eloping eliminates this worry. It is all about the two of you expressing your love for one another. You actually get to spend your day together, and isn't that what it is all about? Your best friend by your side sharing the most intimate of moments as you exchange your vows.
You can be wild, you can be free, you can be you!
An elopement is your own special adventure in both life, love and place. Unique locations inaccessible to larger weddings will be open to you.
Whether a clifftop lookout, rugged coastline, favourite winery, intimate garden or hidden away in rustic bushland. South Australia is full to bursting with 100s of unique locations, and we'd love to help your perfect place. Gather with just your closest loved ones, marry your soul mate in an intimate and personalised ceremony, and then adventure through your beautiful surroundings for amazing photos that celebrate your love.
Syjourn and Josh had a laid-back and intimate wedding in the sunken garden of the Adelaide Botanic Gardens. Their day was family oriented, non-traditional and no fuss. All about being stress free, feeling comfortable and getting married in front of their close family. A perfect little afternoon.
Jake & Abby’s elopement was intimate, easy and them. A gorgeous little ceremony down on the beach with their kids and closest family, followed by sunset portraits on the iconic Blanche Point Cliffs. The perfect little sunset beach elopement.
Sarah & Kain were excited to marry privately, with just the two of them, because it reflected how they are. All about intimacy and simplicity. A stress free day without pressure and gorgeous views looking out over Mount Osmond from a cute little tiny house. We were so lucky with a gorgeous Winter sunset as well. The perfect chilly evening.
Skye and Dan’s wedding was very them—nothing forced or traditional—just a relaxed and casual day at a great restaurant. It was a family gathering that was just that little bit fancy, fun-filled, and full of plenty of laughs. The heart sunnies and kombi van adding that funky touch.
Maddie and Bryton were excited to finally say “I do” with their two closest people there to share the moment with them. Their elopement was simple and fun - just about the important stuff. None of the extras mattered to them. Sinclair’s gully provided a beautiful native scrub backdrop to their stunning copper suit and emerald green dress. It was a perfect moment that we were thrilled to be part of.
Tess and Ben had an intimate and casual elopement at Jacobs Creek Retreat that was all about getting some nice photos and having fun with their friends. All the details were beautiful, and with every guest a part of your bridal party - how could you not have fun?
Jess and Em’s wedding was chilled out and all about going with the flow. Which was easy to do in such a stunning and relaxed location with two beautiful souls in love and ready to get married their way. The flowers were blooming, the sun was shining and happy tears were flowing as heartfelt words were spoken and we frolicked through the brush with kangaroos.
Francesca and Charlie surprised their loved ones by eloping with a relaxed celebration at Sinclair’s Gully Winery. Arriving from interstate, guests were happily surprised by the news and warmly celebrated Francesca and Charlie’s love in style with joy and smiles all around.
Emma and Reece had an intimate, simple and relaxed elopement at the beautiful and rustic Ode to Orchard B&B in the Adelaide Hills. The thing they were looking forward to most was marrying their best friend, and it showed. A ceremony and afternoon full of love, warmth and heartfelt joy.
Tammy and Carl had a beautiful elopement in a little hideaway. Aptly named the Barrenjoey Hideaway, in the Adelaide Hills. Their day was personal, private, and all about them and their son. A way to celebrate family and marriage and have some beautiful photos to look back on.
Sarah and Chris had a small and casual elopement with their children and immediate family on the famously beautiful Port Willunga Beach beneath the sandy cliffs. A day about all the good things. Loved ones surrounding you with their love, a soft sunset and of course… getting married!
Sue and Chris had their dream elopement in McLaren Vale with close family watching on. They got ready in a cute little B&B before marrying with sand between toes and waves lapping nearby. After their special ceremony and portraits with loved ones they jumped in their gorgeous classic jag for sunset portraits on the top of the Blanche Point cliffs. It was a magical day!
Kaitlin and Alan’s elopement was intimate, low-key and all about being married and sharing a very unique wedding date; 22/02/2022. With their ceremony beginning at 2pm and the exchange of vows happening at 2:22pm! They got ready overlooking the beautiful blue ocean, before being married down on the soft sand of Port Noarlunga beach. Their close family sharing the special moment with them in the perfect sunny weather.
Courtney & Chris had a relaxed, intimate and joyful elopement bursting with beautiful warm colours amongst the natural rolling hills and scrub of Sinclair’s Gully. With just their small bridal party and Courtney’s dad walking her down the aisle they shared so many smiles and laughs during the ceremony, over delicious bubbles and during their portraits around the lovely, natural scenery. It was a beautiful afternoon!
Ali and Joe had an intimate, chilled and small wedding at an absolutely stunning venue in Deep Creek. The Naiko Retreat, a beautiful and eco escape from the every day complete with UFO style massage cabin. (You just have to check out their website to see what we mean.) With beautiful views of the sea, nestled amongst nature and kangaroos, it was a relaxing space for Ali and Joe to celebrate their wedding. They had their ceremony down on the beach, followed by a delicious meal prepared at their accommodation.
Carrie and Andy’s wedding was timelessly simple, within the gorgesou surrounds of Halletts Valley Hideaway in the Barossa Valley. A true elopement wth just he two of them, their day was perfectly relaxed and casual. Without missing any of those special touches of course, like their stunning outfits, classic white rose bouquet, personalised wedding ceremony and photography memories to last for generations.
One of the reasons I love Sinclair’s Gully (besides being married their myself) is the gorgeous and natural setting. You’re just up the hill from the city and yet you’re surrounded by gorgeous scrub and wildlife. Kate and Luke took advantage of this beautiful space by marrying beneath the ghost gum forest. The classic vintage vibe from outfits to styling perfectly blending with the natural greens. Their day was laid back and simple, and yet elegant. A perfect morning!
What can we say? But wow! This was such a special elopement and completely beautiful day. Ashley and Salesi are two down to earth, relaxed, fun loving and beautiful souls. Despite a lost (and then found) wedding ring, temporarily replaced by a seaweed wreath, they had nothing but smiles. The picnic that Laura set up was a bohemian dream overlooking a peacful sea. The cake was delicious! And the sunset to top it all off? After an overcast day with a little gap that the sun peeked through on it’s final journey down to the ocean was just spectacular. A dream day. Thank you for having us!
Beth & Tom’s rustic elopement at Brin Farm in Kangarilla was short, sweet and intimate. And also full of fun and laughter! They approached their marriage in the most beautiful way; relaxed, smiling and happy. Laughing when the beautiful floating arbour joined in with fabric hugs in the wind. A perfect little afternoon in such a stunning location, dressing up, memories, photos, and at the end of their heartfelt ceremony being married!
Steph & Ste’s elopement at Sinclair’s Gully with us was a Bohemian dream! A gorgeous macrame arbour, stunning florals and relaxed vibe. Made even more relaxed by Sinclair’s Gully’s beautiful, native surrounds and Kate’s personal ceremony. Such a special afternoon.
Jade & Jake’s elopement in Kuitpo forest was stunningly beautiful, despite also being wonderfully simple and intimate. A day all about being able to finally call each other “husband” and “wife”, and in Jake’s words, “it completes us”. And what a beautiful family they are with happy little Ryder! From the picnic and bubbles, to the trek up the hill and into the forest for photos. The entire afternoon was perfect. Thanks so much for having us guys! xo
Kate and I loved everything about Jayne & Jo’s gorgeous little elopement on the beach at Largs Bay. From their feature rainbow umbrellas to the kind words that they wrote about each and every one of their guests (and that Kate handed to them after the ceremony to read and cherish). And who could forget celebrating their marriage with an impromptu dance party right their on the beach in between first kiss and signing. But most of all, their down to earth, relaxed and kind personalities just made the day!
Sarah & Kyton’s wedding was simple but elegant, with gorgeous details and personal touches. A celebration of getting to marry their best friend, with their closest family members. It was important to them both to involve their families in their special day, as they became husband and wife and started the next exciting chapter of their lives.
Nestled in the hills of Kangarlila at the McLaren Eye B&B, with only the resident sheep looking on, Suzie and Anthony married with a secret, intimate and relaxed elopement ceremony. It was a gorgeous place to tie the knot! Lovely rolling fields (with sheep), a little adventure up the hill into a small native forest, and then breaking through to the top where another soft field greeted us. It was a lovely day! Celebrating the love of two amazing people.
Ashley and Ben married in an entirely relaxed, simple, sweet, fun and intimate ceremony at Longview winery on a beautifully sunny day. Just the two of them, their witnesses and long views of beautiful hills and vines. Laughing in the slowly setting sunlight and feeding gorgeous white horses carrots. Glass of cool wine to toast and celebrate their marriage, and that they kicked ass to get to this special day. A perfectly beautiful evening. Nothing flashy, just love.
Kate and I LOVE how Laura and Ryan described their elopement to us; “extremely intimate and low key with a dash of fun!” A super special and relaxed afternoon shared with their parents, grandma and sister (with Ryan’s brother sadly having to watch from afar in Melbourne). We were all stunned but entirely delighted when instead of the 90%+ promise of raing predicted we had beautiful sunshine! Having Laura and Ryan married just in front of the Port Willunga caves (just in case the rain decided to surprise us out of nowhere and we needed to duck for cover!) We took advantage of the gorgeous clifftops and nearby vineyards nestle under rolling hills and wind swept gum trees as well.
What a Spring this has been! Lisa & Hayden’s special day was srrounded by a calm, white fog up in the Adelaide Hills. With a rain so light you couldnt even see it for the clouds. It fit well with their relaxed and romantic vibe, a soft white glow. Most importantly, it was the day Lisa and Hayden said I Do.
Kangaroo Island is a gorgeous part of the world, and in South Australia we are so lucky that it is literally in our backyard! Kate and I loved visiting KI to capture this beautiful and intimate elopement for Alice, Geoff and their gorgeous little one Grace. (How cute is she!?) Their elopement was simple but special, and a beautiful celebration. (Along with a great chance to relax for the week in a beautiful place). The fancy 5 course meal put on after their special day by Kangaroo Island Source was a big standout, and perfect way to end the day.
Sam and Pete had a beautiful elopement with just their parents and grandma in rustic South Australia. Staying at gorgeous Kallamurra Farm Stay in the morning and evening both to get ready and have a delicious dinner prepared by the Salopian Inn. With their ceremony at Burbrook Forest in Kuitpo Forest, portraits in a lovely native scrub of kuitpo and along Port Willunga beach as the sunset, Sam and Pete really took advantage of some beautiful locations. Of course, no wedding would have been complete without their beautiful little fur baby either. Biggest of congratulations Sam and Pete!! x
Jasmin & Christian wanted a wedding day where they could have some beautiful photos together and become legally married. What better way to do that than to elope with Kate and I? :) A beautiful, personal and lovingly written ceremony by Kate. And then an adventure in a jointly favourite location, Deep Creek Conservation Park with me! Driving down 4WD tracks to take natural photos of precious moments and memories. All while surrounded by gorgeous and native Aussie landscapes. A lovely afternoon spent together, becoming married!!! And capturing precious memories to last a lifetime. Thanks so much for having us guys! We really did love every moment of your wedding day!
If you decide on a registry or 'registry style' wedding you are likely to be restricted in the personal touches you can add to your ceremony. You are told where you will be married, allocated a time slot, and say your 'I do's'.
Eloping allows you to choose your location, create a personal and meaningful ceremony and capture all of those special moments and memories of your wedding day. You can also share your elopement ceremony with up to 10 guests, meaning that Mum and Dad, or your besties can be there too!
Finishing your amazing personalised photos, with a gorgeous photo shoot in your special location.
Mortgage... car payments... bills... bills... bills... We want to buy a house! To travel! To start a family!
With the average wedding in Australia now costing between $30,000 -$50,000 and house prices going through the roof you may have to decide... do we want the big wedding, the big honeymoon, or the house? Depending on your choices for your elopement ceremony (venue, dress, flowers, cake, dinner, accommodation) you can get married for a fraction of the cost, spending from just $2,999.
Enjoy your dream day and cherish life long memories without starting the next beautiful chapter of your life in debt. xx

And she lived happily ever after.”
